Our next major renovation project will be the rehabilitation and restoration of 3617 Indian Queen Lane, making it our permanent home. This East Falls (birthplace of Grace Kelly) home has been lovingly kept, but vacant for years. It has an amazing history and wonderful charm, currently hidden under decades of best intentions proved too challenging for its previous occupants. Not a project to undertake lightly, we’ll work with a phenomenal team to revisit the 19th century and document that journey for you here.
The Hohenadel House, which appears to have been built in the early 1800s, was originally the home of the Dobson Family, of the Dobson Mills namesake. It is the second house to the right of the church, seen here in a rare photograph from the 1800’s. It was eventually sold to the Hohenadel Family, who established a well-known beer brewery in East Falls before prohibition.
While it is ever-evident and easy to see the amount of work that this project will require, such as the missing ceiling in this picture, we see the potential, perpetually, as is our nature.
As a family, we are excited to take on this project, and make this well-loved space, in the community of our global choosing, our home.
